Located in Union Square, PRESS Modern Massage is a clinical massage studio, not a spa. To maintain a relaxing environment for all, please use quiet voices when inside the studio. Please note that we do not provide lockers or shower facilities, your belongings will stay with you at all times. We look forward to impressing you!

Directions By Subway

Take the L Train to Union Square or 6th ave or take the NQRW, 456 train to Union Square, or the PATH to 6th ave. From Union Square, walk west on 14th St past 5th ave. The studio is between 5th and 6th ave on 14th st. There’s a doorway at 39 W 14th St. During business hours, this will be unlocked. On evenings and weekends, buzz 408 and take the elevator to the 4th floor. We are located in suite 408.

    Bismark is a graduate from Pacific College of Health and Science. His passion in working with the body comes from being a personal trainer for 6 years and his passion lies in bridging the gap between the worlds of fitness and bodywork. He believes that incorporating these practices into one's routine can help people improve their health and is essential to holistic wellbeing. His work is always tailored to the individual client, whether they need specific trigger point therapy or deep tissue massage. His ability to connect with his clients makes the treatment process seamless as the level of comfort between a therapist and client can make for a better outcome.

    Carla is a Licensed Massage Therapist in New York, Board certified for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She graduated with A.A.S  in Massage Therapy at Queensborough Community College. Carla loves working intuitively and includes various modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point, MFR and stretching. She also had the pleasure in obtaining prenatal massage certification from Mamassage. Carla was born and raised in the Philippines, to a traditional culture that embraces and believes in the overall health benefits of massage both physically and mentally. 


    She is open, willing and eager to learn and grow in this industry.

    Jon is a board certified massage therapist who graduated from New York College of Health Professions and is continuing his education towards a Bachelor in Acupuncture. He specializes in acupressure, thai massage, cupping, aromatherapy, and deep tissue. Experienced in an acupuncture clinic setting, Jon is well versed in both relaxation and medical massage. When deemed appropriate, therapeutic joint movements and muscle stretches may be integrated with each tailored massage treatment. Jon believes this only furthers the quality of the treatment and overall quality of life with each of his clients. Outside of work Jon enjoys fitness, nutrition, and collecting crystals.

    Kurt specializes in Swedish and deep tissue massage, incorporating myofascial release, trigger point techniques, and sports massage into his practice. He has trained in Shiatsu massage as well. Kurt has worked in both clinics and spas and enjoys partnering with clients to achieve their personal health goals, whether they are post-injury rehabilitation, personal maintenance, or simply relaxing the body and quieting the mind.

    Kurt is a graduate of the Swedish Institute, and  licensed by New York State and certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). He is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

    I started my career in massage therapy in 2008 as an Ayurveda Practitioner. I was living in Barcelona, Spain, when I first studied Abhyanga yoga massage, a combination of Ayurveda and Thai, followed by Marma Points therapy and Body mapping. Back in my home country, Italy, I got a degree in Traditional Ayurveda Massage and Rasayana (rejuvenating) Therapies at the Ayurveda International Academy of Florence.

    After moving to New York City, I attended the New York College of Health Professions and graduated in December 2019. I don't use a specific modality, my massage is mainly intuitive with a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, MFR, Thai and unconditional love! I'm also certified in prenatal massage and I've been working regularly with pre/postnatal clients for the past two years. I'm myself a mother of two and outside work I love spending time with my daughters, cooking and traveling.
